Luxury Cheshire homes to be backed by crowdfunding

A CROWDFUNDING firmbased in Hale, Greater Manchester is taking luxury apartment living to the moneyed Cheshire town of Wilmslow.

The House Crowd has launched a platform where people invest as little as £1,000 in the Bollin Heights development, a conversion of an existing building into a luxury, gated complex of 24 apartments on Macclesfield Road.

Facilities include a fitness studio with personal trainers, business lounge with hot desks and meeting spaces, concierge services and cold storage lockers to accept food deliveries.

Prices will start from £180,000 for off plan purchasers in the first release.

The company claims people can invest from as little as £1,000, and earn returns of 10-12 % a year depending on the amount invested. It says, all investment is secured by a first legal charge against the property.

Works are scheduled to begin in November 2016, with the investment term estimated to last just nine months.

Frazer Fearnhead, CEO at The House Crowd, said: “There is a complete dearth of quality properties to buy at a lower price point in Wilmslow.

“Bollin Heights is in a superb location, just a few minutes’ walk from the town centre and train station. Through this development, we’re bringing a proven, successful US model directly to the UK. Each apartment is designed to create optimum space for residents, who will benefit from excellent communal facilities to help liberate their lifestyles.

“Given these facts, we know that demand will be exceptionally high and we anticipate selling all apartments off plan in the next few months.”
