UP for doing something a bit freaky this weekend? Get ready to be terrified this Halloween and head to one of these events that are bound to scare you to death…

The Chambers of Horrors: Resting Ground of the Unsaved
Take a journey through the cold, dark passage ways and eerie cells if you dare at Liverpool’s St George’s Hall this Halloween. Inspired by a century of horror genres, the venue will be host to the damned, the unsaved and the cursed. Who knows what you will encounter! Find out more here.

After Dark
Head to Southport Pleasure Land this Halloween for a real scare fest. After Dark will be host to an abandoned zoo with four scare houses, horror side shows and rides that will spin you right into the night. There will also be a terror maze at the venue and a zombie zoo which will be full of abandoned, overgrown and home to the deadliest of species. This event is not for the faint hearted. HalloweenHalloween Ghost Hunt
Newsham Park Abandoned Hospital in Liverpool is by far one of the creepiest places in the North West. This Halloween, you can join the team for the ultimate ghost hunt experience in the former orphanage and hospital. The event, which is taking place on Monday October 31, will include vigils, séances, workshops and experiments including glass divination ad Ouija Boards. Find out more here.

Little Shop of Horrors
The kooky musical cult classic arrives in Manchester this Halloween at The Palace Theatre. The play follows the story of Seymour Krelborn who becomes an overnight sensation when he discovers a strange ad exotic plant. He names it Audrey Two to impress glamorous Audrey, but after pricking his finger, he discovers Audrey Two needs a little more than plant food to thrive. Find out more here.

Roll up for the ride of your life at East Lancashire Railway this Halloween. East Lancashire Railway’s Ghost Trains will be host to a spooky circus with a host of hilarious hauntings and giggling ghouls. HalloweenPsycho Live
Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho will be shown at Manchester’s Albert Hall on Sunday evening where a full live soundtrack will be provided by Manchester Camerata. Be prepared to watch the film like you never have before with the dramatic music being performed in front of your eyes whilst you sceam in terror at the horrifying ‘slasher’ movie. The Blackpool Tower Dungeon will run amok with scarecrows this Halloween.
