200 millionth M6 toll customer set for a year’s free passage

THE 200 millionth customer on the M6 Toll will get a year’s free passage on the congestion-free route when he or she passes through the gates this week.

Operators Midland Expressway Ltd will make the lucky customer the guest of honour at its “Freebie Friday” event on Friday December 2 at Roadchef, Norton Canes motorway services.

On the run up to the day, the lucky 200 millionth customer will be identified by M6toll staff and  handed an invitation to join the M6 Toll team at the event where he or she will be presented with a special M6toll tag entitling them to a year’s free passage.

MEL’s director of motorway operations, James Hodson said “This December’s Freebie Friday is a very special one. 200 million is a major milestone for us.

“That’s why we are awarding two M6toll Tags, rewarding both a car and commercial vehicle driver with free passage on the M6toll for a year.

“There will also be separate free prize draw competition to win a M6toll Tag on the day. Every day we welcome more than 52,000 customers who appreciate the reliability and value the M6toll can add to their journey.

“The family feel to the event gives a little something back to our customers as they take a break at the recently extended motorway services area.”

On the day itself, there will be an M6toll team at Roadchef Norton Canes which is located between junctions T6 and T7 on the M6toll.
