King’s Chambers raises £3k for local cause

BARRISTERS, clerks and various other staff members at King’s Chambers have raised over £3,000 for Wood Street Mission this month as part of the charity’s annual Christmas Appeal.

The firm donated money, food and toys for the Manchester-based children’s charity which supports disadvantaged children in Manchester and Salford.

Wood Street Mission Christmas Appeal aims to give children living in poverty gifts and food so they can celebrate the festive period regardless of their circumstances.

Director at Kings Chambers, Debra Andrés said: “We couldn’t be happier to support this project for the Wood Street Mission. The charity’s Christmas Appeal is poignant and we were keen to support the cause.”

“It was pleasing to see so many members and staff at Kings Chambers donate to the appeal and help Wood Street Mission support disadvantaged children, helping them to have the positive Christmas experience that every child deserves.

“We know the charity will put the funds, food and toys we have been able to provide to fantastic use and will help support some of the region’s most vulnerable over the Christmas period.”

This fundraiser marks the fourth-year Kings Chambers have supported the charity’s Christmas Appeal. The firm also donates towards Wood Street Mission’s Easter Project which gives Easter Eggs to children who would not normally receive them.
