Magic of Narnia puts city under spell

The Narnia Experience returned to Liverpool this week just in time for half term.
The event, which is taking place at St George’s Hall, will offer visitors the chance to take on the character role of either Lucy or Edmund before meeting the characters from The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.
It is the third time that the Narnia experience has been staged in the city, following the success of productions in 2011 and 2013.
The Great Hall at the venue has been transformed into a walk-through theatrical experience, where visitors step through a wardrobe of fur coats before discovering a wintery forest scene of pine trees.
Children are encouraged to choose to take on the role of either Lucy or Edmund on the interactive trail and follow the story from their perspective whilst meeting the likes of Mr Tummus, Mrs Beaver and The White Witch.
They will be led to the magical world of Narnia before splitting off into smaller groups to follow different paths, so each child can explore the homes of the characters.
The event, which takes place from Wednesday 8 to Saturday 25 February, has been organised by In Another Place, which has around 500 volunteers, including a cast with speaking roles and over 100 statues, who have been drawn from community groups and churches from across Merseyside.
Entry to the event at St George’s Hall will be every 15 minutes from 9.30am through to 7.30pm. Tickets can be purchased in person at the Ticket Quarter box office based in the Queens Square Travel centre and online.
