Gemini Business Park site sold for £1.1m

PROPERTY and construction firm Williams Tarr has sold a 3.2-acre site at Gemini Business Park in its home town of Warrington to Starplan Furniture for £1.1 million.

The firm, which was advised on the sale by property consultancy Savills, said that it worked closely with Starplan to achieve planning consent for a warehouse facility with ancillary retail on the site.

The new development, once complete, will allow Starplan to service its existing retail warehouse unit at Middlebrook in Bolton as well as expanding in the North West and opening a new showroom at a busy location.

Stuart Murray, industrial director at Savills, said: “This sale is a superb result for Starplan and Williams Tarr who only acquired the site in December last year.

“With the revised planning consent in place the site holds excellent long term potential for Starplan. The close working relationship between vendor and purchaser has provided a first class result for both parties.”
