Appointments: IAS poaches Ikin from Moneysupermarket; Pearson leaves Vision+Media

CHESHIRE-based digital marketing firm, IAS b2b Marketing, has appointed digital marketing manager Rachel Ikin.

Ikin, who has experience developing digital marketing strategies, joins from Moneysupermarket.com, where she was in charge of paid search, search engine optimisation, and social media activity. Before that she held positions at digital agencies Rippleffect, Steak Digital and CSI Media.

Ikin will be working on a number of key accounts for IAS, including Kingspan and Lex Autolease. She will be responsible for devising marketing strategies and integrating digital with offline media and PR, as well as developing and analysing advertising campaigns.

KATE Pearson, a communications manager at Vision+Media – the support body for the digital and creative industries – has joined Cheadle Hulme-based public relations agency Souter PR as an account director.

She will be working with clients such as the baker Warburtons, vehicle provider Easi-Drive and cheesemaker Dewlay in her new role.

At Vision+Media she worked on a number of major events, social media Kate Pearsoncampaigns and profile raising activities across all departments in the organisation including TV, radio, music, publishing, film, games and digital and creative Services.

Pearson, pictured, previously spent six years in a senior role at PR firms Brazen and Fido where she worked on brands such as online retailer Boohoo.com, Forever Manchester, Magnet Kitchens, Manchester Art Gallery, T-Mobile and the Imperial War Museum.
