Sales and profits higher at Winning Pitch

WINNING Pitch, which helps entrepreneurs and small companies to develop their businesses, has reported strong growth in full-year sales and earnings.

Turnover rose 48% to £4.5m and profits more than doubled to £310,000 in the year to September 30.

The Manchester business left the PLUS market in July complaining about the associated costs and the lack of liquidity in the market.

Chief executive John Leach said he had decided to issue the figures because the company left the market at the half-year point and he felt a need to “close the book on our financial performance statements”.

He said the sales rise was largely due to strong interest in high growth strategies from public and private sector clients.

In future the company plans to expand its services in the UK and overseas and franchise its business growth services. Mr Leach said Winning Pitch has seen continued interest from large corporates that want to become “more entrepreneurial”.
