Appointments: Yeomans earns her Stripes; Zeus boosts team; and more…

MANCHESTER law firm Stripes Solicitors has appointed corporate lawyer Melanie Yeomans as a director at a time of ambitious growth for the firm.
Ms Yeomans, 37, will join fellow directors, Stephen Jarman and Adrian Leslie, to create a formidable corporate and commercial team.
She began her career at Clifford Chance in London, and being fluent in French, she went on to head up the UK corporate desk.
Ms Yeomans has also spent time at Addleshaw Goddard in the North West, and then at the age of 31 became a partner at Keoghs in Bolton before joining nexus Solicitors as a Partner in 2006.

STEPHEN Robinson has joined Zeus Capital’s Manchester team as a director of corporate finance, focusing on private company transactions.
Mr Robinson has joined from Pierce Corporate Finance where he was a director and brings over 12 years of corporate transaction experience including disposals, mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, and debt restructuring.

BARRY Nightingale, the former managing director of Rochdale car supermarket group Carcraft, has returned to the leisure sector to join North West gaming firm BetFred as finance director.
The former Airtours executive, who was with family-owned Carcraft for more than six years, said: “The opportunity was too good to refuse. I had some good times at Carcraft but am very excited by the challenge here.”
The 47-year-old from Warrington’s appointment was filed at Companies House this week, although he moved to BetFred, the trading name of Done Brothers (Cash Betting) Ltd, in November.

AMATEUR footballer Mark Jackson has been appointed manager at Lancashire bar and restaurant The Sparling.
Mr Jackson, 22, has worked at the Preston venue for more than a year, and has risen through the ranks. He will combine his duties at The Sparling with his other passion, football – he is currently Lancaster City FC’s star striker.
