Cassidy Bros seeks name change

BLACKPOOL toy company Cassidy Brothers is planning to change its name to Casdon Plc.

The firm has traded under the Casdon Toys banner for many years and believes the change would give a “clear and concise” message to customers, suppliers and shareholders.

It will seek approval from shareholders at a general meeting on November 26 at the company’s offices.

In a statement to the stock market Cassidy Brothers said: “The company’s trading name has been “Casdon” for a number of years and is how the group’s products are recognised by its customers. The board therefore feel changing the company’s name to Casdon plc gives a clear and concise message to customers, suppliers and shareholders.”

The company supplies the likes of Argos, Amazon, Toys R Us and Littlewoods and dozens of independent toy shops.
