Txtlocal opens new HQ in Chester

Mobile communications firm Txtlocal has opened its new headquarters at Chester’s Bell Meadow Business Park. The firm has taken 1,451 sq ft of offices on a five-year lease.
The business, which was launched in 2005 by Darren Daws and Alistair Shortland five years ago, provides mobile communication tools in SMS, MMS, Short Code and Location-Based services. It said that employee numbers within the past year have grown from five to 11 and it needed to find new space to accommodate more staff.
Managing director and co-founder Darren Daws said: “The growth in our business is directly related to the current financial climate and our continued investment in creating easy to use SMS solutions for our customers.”
Tom Creer of property agents BA Commercial, which represents Bell Meadow Business Park, said: “It has been a pleasure to work with Txtlocal and we are delighted to welcome them to Bell Meadow Business Park. They are an exciting addition to the mixture of businesses.”
