Dorset telecoms business makes fifth acquisition in 12 months

A Dorset communications company has completed its fifth acquisition in the space of just 12 months.

Bournemouth based 4Com provides business telephone systems to customers across the country.

It has acquired of the business telecoms customers of Meridian IT Communications Ltd.

The is 4Com’s fifth deal in the past 12 months and will add another 89 customers to its 13,000 strong customer base.

Meridian IT Communications are a Hampshire-based telecommunications provider.

The acquisition follows 4Com’s purchases of Midshire Telecom, Eastern Voice and Data, the business telecoms customer base of Bluebell Cloud Solutions and the acquisition of Reach Digital Telecoms.

4Com Technologies was established in 1999 and provide Unified Communication (UC) to SMEs combining its proprietary HiHi phone system with telecoms services.
