Housebuilder strengthens team with new land and planning director

Persimmon Homes Wessex has welcomed John Gantlett as its new land and planning director.

Gantlett will now lead a team overseeing immediate and strategic land and planning, as well as partnership homes delivery in Wiltshire, Swindon, Oxfordshire, Mendip, Bath & North-East Somerset, and the Cotswolds.

Having originally joined the industry as a development trainee, he previously progressed to land manager with Persimmon Homes Wessex.

Gantlett said: “I am really excited to be returning to Persimmon in my new role with extra responsibilities, expanding on my past achievements and the experience I have gained since to contribute to the continuing success of the Wessex region.

“Persimmon continues to go from strength to strength as a five-star builder as we implement positive changes in all areas of our business, while ensuring we continue to deliver quality homes for local people.

“The demand for new housing in the areas we serve is pressing, and I look forward to ensuring Persimmon continues to identify and deliver opportunities which provide quality homes for local people across the region.”
