Wiltshire inn is named as one of UK’s best gastropubs

A traditional Wiltshire inn has been named one of the best gastropubs in the country.
The Methuen Arms in Corsham is managed by Butcombe Pubs & Inns.
It has been ranked 86th in the illustrious Top 100 Gastropubs list, compiled by Estrella Damn.
The list is created by collecting votes from more than 100 key hospitality industry professionals.
Judges include leaders of pub businesses, editors of media brands and food writers, who are geographically spread across the UK to ensure no regional bias. There is also a selection of special awards that are judged by an expert panel.
James Vincent, general manager of The Methuen Arms says: “I am thrilled to see our pub recognised among the top 100 Gastropubs in the UK. It’s a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, especially our talented kitchen who continually create exciting food for our community. This achievement inspires us to keep pushing the boundaries of beautiful pub food and providing a memorable dining experience for our guests.”
The Top Gastropubs list was conceived in 2009 with the purpose of recognising hard working individuals in the gastropubs industry. They also aim to be the go-to source for the best pubs to dine at in the UK.
Methuen Arms’ head chef Zac Henderson adds: “Estrella Damn’s Top 100 Gastropubs list is hugely respected throughout the industry, and to now be a part of it is an awesome achievement for both me and the team who work extremely hard to execute what we do.
“Stripped back, simple food full of flavour is what we are all about and I’m super excited to build on this success and to see what the future holds here at The Methuen Arms.”
