Trio of businesses merge to form new brand
A Gloucestershire connectivity and communication provider has announced the merger of three regional businesses into its new brand.
Along with Horizon Telecom in Cirencester and Channel Comms, based in Bristol, Eurolink will now become known as Southern Communications Group South West (SCG SW), headed up by a new strategic leadership team.
Established in 1965, leading communications provider SCG acquired Horizon Telecoms in December 2021, followed by Eurolink Connect in April 2022, and Channel Comms in December 2022.
The trio have combined to form the SCG South-West division comprising 32 team members, continuing under the leadership of managing director Claire Maddox, formerly of Eurolink Connect.
The South West division collectively turnover £7m and have ambitious growth plans for the region and beyond.
Claire said: “SCG is a leader within the industry, operating its own diverse network and hosted Cloud telephony platforms, alongside strong partnerships with leading network providers.
“As an Internet Service Provider(ISP), SCG has the infrastructure, skills, and experience to deliver secure unified communications. The culture and emphasis of SCG is around trust and doing the right thing for its customers, fitting perfectly with the heritage of the three acquired businesses.
“The new merged strategy allows us to increase our team and customer support, enhance our regional coverage, grow the skills of our senior leadership team, and extend the product range and skills available to our clients. It gives us more depth, greater agility, and positioning to support our customers’ needs.
“These changes are part of our drive to increase and improve our service offering, expand our service team, and achieve our commercial objective to be a business with purpose, in not just fulfilling our sustainable objectives but in becoming the region’s Managed Service Provider of choice.”
