Chamber of trade appoints new executive team

Bournemouth Chamber of Trade has elected its executive team to lead it forward for the next year.

Bill Perkins was chosen to continue as president for another term, while Matt Maclean was officially elected as vice-president at the organisation’s Annual General Meeting (AGM).

Bill’s continued leadership promises to steer the chamber through the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, building upon the solid foundation laid during his tenure.

Matt has a wealth of marketing experience and his appointment brings a dynamic perspective to the chamber’s leadership team.

They were elected along with other board members at the AGM before the chamber’s annual President’s Dinner at the Cumberland Hotel on Bournemouth’s East Cliff.

Bill said: “I am honoured to continue serving as president of the Bournemouth Chamber of Trade and Commerce.

“Together with our dedicated team of officers and directors, we will work tirelessly to support and promote the interests of our local business community.”

Bill added: “It was an incredibly positive AGM following by a superb President’s Dinner which set the tone perfectly for a promising year ahead.”

Also at the AGM, Tina Worthing was appointed as a director, adding her expertise and vision to the chamber’s board.

Her dedication to advancing the interests of Bournemouth’s business community makes her a valuable addition to the leadership roster.

Bill said: “While these changes at the AGM mark significant milestones for the chamber, it’s important to note that all other officers will remain in their respective roles, ensuring continuity and stability in the chamber’s operations.”

Continuing in their roles were Roger Smith as past president, Julia Young and Simone Ippolito as directors, Kate Neal as business development executive and Lorraine Exley as secretary
