Senior director unveiled at property company

Land promotion company Richborough has promoted Dean Knight to the role of senior regional director in the South West.

Stuart Nelmes, formerly of BWB, has been appointed technical director, taking over Dean’s former role at the head of Richborough’s technical team.

Dean has also joined Richbrough’s newly formed operating board, to further help shape the future of our business.

Dean joined Richborough in 2019.

He has become an industry leader in several technical areas, including water and nutrient neutrality. As group technical director, he played a crucial role in securing new sites and planning permissions across the business.

In his new role Dean will accelerate the company’s presence in the South West, aiming to fulfil its potential as a “super-region” in pipeline growth and sales, with dedicated support from Alex Anderson and Alanna Mahoney.

Stuart brings over 20 years of experience in the engineering consultancy environment, having previously worked at BWB as a regional lead and project director.

He will continue to develop and enhance Richborough’s industry-leading technical team, with support from Richard Holdcroft, Nick Matthews, Charlotte Gilham, Leo Gee, and Grace Sadler.

Paul Campbell, chief executive at Richborough, said: “We look forward to the continued success and innovation that both Dean and Stuart will bring to their new roles.

“Dean has been instrumental in Richborough’s growth since joining us and his skill and commitment will successfully drive forward our South West region in this next exciting phase.

“Stuart is highly regarded in the development engineering industry and will make a real asset to the team, especially as we deal with more complex development and changing industry regulation.”

Dean Knight added: “I’m honoured to have received a promotion to senior regional director with a focus on our South West region. This new role marks a pivotal transition from my previous technical focus, now leaving my technical team in the exceptionally capable hands of Stuart Nelmes. I will now dedicate myself to driving the growth and expansion of our South West region and supporting the wider business.

“I’m excited to leverage my varied experience to foster new innovative strategies, build strong relationships and contribute to the evolution of our organisation.”
