Chief operating officer is axed at pharmaceutical firm

Wiltshire pharmaceuticals firm Alliance Pharma has axed its chief operating officer as part of a management restructure.

The international healthcare group has announced that Jeyan Heper, the current chief operating officer will leave the business at the end of next month.

Jeyan Heper joined Alliance as COO and board member just over a year ago and helped to identify growth opportunities in international consumer healthcare markets.

Heper also supported the board and senior executive team to develop the strategy for international markets, particularly in China and the US.

The company said that In order to accelerate the globalisation of the company, to bring the consumer closer to the heart of the business and to simplify the company’s management structure, the board has decided that the role of COO is no longer needed.
