Cornish news and events company lands refinancing package

A firm which provides insights and news to the international gas industry has landed a refinancing package.

Santander Growth Capital supported the refinance of  Cornwall company GW Global Insights.

Founded in 2003 and based near Truro, GWGI’s “Gasworld” brand (www.gasworld.com) delivers news and insights for the international gas industry.

The firm a global client base for its publications, worldwide events and business intelligence products.

The management team at the company was backed in its MBO in 2022 by Mobeus Partners.

The further investment from Santander’s Growth Capital will support GWGI in continuing to provide high-quality content.

The company is also promoting the development of its business intelligence offerings, digital content and marketing services as well as rapidly expanding its portfolio of events.

Peter Abel led the deal with support from Jamie Foster, Joe Santos and Dale Mullen.

Santander Growth Capital and relationship team of Peter Abel, Jamie Foster, Joe Santos and Dale Mullen, was advised by Foot Anstey (Bank legal), with Michelmores (Legal) supporting the company and shareholders.
