Green light for Bristol apartments, hotel and restaurant scheme

A scheme to build apartments, a hotel with restaurant and an aparthotel in central Bristol has been give the go-ahead.
Land known as ‘Plot 3’ Temple Quay within the Temple Quarter area has been earmarked for the scheme which will comprise three buildings – a 234-room hotel operated by Dalata Maldron, a 168-room extended stay aparthotel operated by Room2, and 108 build to rent apartments operated by fund abrdn.
There would also be the creation of an area of publicly accessible open space, and access to the harbourside walkway.
The proposed hotel would be located within Block A which would be eight storeys in height. It would include around 7,459 sq ft of commercial floorspace at ground floor level and a restaurant.
Block B would be seven storeys in height and would be occupied by the aparthotel.
Block C would be a maximum of ten storeys high, and would accommodate build to rent flats.
The scheme is being brought forward by a joint venture between IKB Developments and managed by Marick Real Estate.
Abrdn has provided funding while Sheppard Robson is the architect.
Bristol City Council has granted full planning permission, subject to conditions, under delegated powers.
