Accountancy firm boosts Cheltenham team with audit appointment

Audit, accountancy, tax, and advisory firm Bishop Fleming has appointed Tom Morrill as its new audit director, as it looks to build on its growth drive in Gloucestershire following the opening of its Cheltenham office in September 2023.

Morrill’s addition further strengthens Bishop Fleming’s Cheltenham-based team as demand for the firm’s audit services increases, most notably in the owner-managed business market. Over the last 12 months, the Cheltenham audit team has significantly grown with two new directors, two senior managers and nine other executives and associates.

His appointment demonstrates Bishop Fleming’s ambitious growth plans, building on yet another successful financial year, which saw double-digit fee growth to over £43.1m. The firm has seen its audit revenue grow by over 20% in the last two years alone, with a rolling 12 month growth of over 25%.

Morrill brings almost a decade of audit and accountancy experience to Bishop Fleming, particularly in industrial sectors including waste management and construction.
