BDO strengthens audit team in the South West with partner hire

Accountancy and business advisory firm BDO has strengthened its audit team in the South West with the appointment of Paul Nott as partner in its Bristol office.
He joins BDO from PwC, where he has spent 29 years of his career – the last 12 of which have been as an audit director based in Bristol.
Nott brings a wealth of experience to the firm, specialising in the large corporate market, particularly PE-backed or larger private audited entities. While working across industry sectors, he has built significant expertise in the energy and utilities markets, as well covering large infrastructure projects and capital market transactions.
David Brookes, regional managing partner at BDO in the South West, said: “Paul brings a wealth of experience to the Bristol team, adding real value to our audit proposition.
“In particular, we will be tapping into his extensive expertise in the large corporate market, where he will help us to drive strong, sustainable growth. We’re delighted to have someone of his calibre onboard – someone with real understanding of the regional landscape.”
Nott said: “I’m very excited to join the growing team in the South West. It’s a fantastic region, with entrepreneurially-spirited business owners at the heart of the local economy. BDO prides itself on delivering high-quality, partner-led services and I’m delighted to be joining such a strong and dynamic team, strengthening our position as a leader in the market.”
