National surveying firm expands further into South West with acquisition
Bruton Knowles, the independent national chartered surveyor firm, has announced the acquisition of Haarer Goss, a well-established commercial property management firm based in Exeter.
The strategic acquisition expands Bruton Knowles’ footprint and service offering in the South West and plays a role in the firm’s growth plans for the region.
Haarer Goss, founded in 1961, has built a strong reputation in Exeter, delivering high-quality commercial property management services to clients in the area. With the acquisition, Bruton Knowles aims to integrate its broader range of national expertise in valuation and building surveying, enhancing the scope of services offered to Haarer Goss’ clients while opening up new business opportunities across the South West.
The acquisition forms part of Bruton Knowles’ ongoing strategy to extend its reach across the UK, particularly in sectors like utilities, infrastructure and, in this case, commercial property management.
Iain Biddlestone, director and owner of Haarer Goss, commented on the new partnership: “After 30 years of running Haarer Goss, I’m excited about the new opportunities this acquisition brings. Partnering with Bruton Knowles allows us to offer a wider range of services to our clients, from valuations to building surveys. It also provides a solid platform for future growth in the South West, benefiting both our team and clients. We share a common vision with Bruton Knowles to provide personal, expert service while expanding the scope of what we can offer.”
James Bailey, managing partner of Bruton Knowles, added: “The acquisition of Haarer Goss is an important milestone for Bruton Knowles. It aligns perfectly with our long-term strategy of expanding into key regional markets, and we’re delighted to welcome Iain and his team into the Bruton Knowles family. Haarer Goss has an excellent reputation in the South West, and by combining their local knowledge with our national resources, we are confident we can build on this success. This move not only strengthens our commercial property management services but also gives us a solid base to further grow our client base in the region.”
