Wheelchair manufacturer opens new HQ

Wheelchair manufacturer Rehasense UK has opened its new headquarters in Cornwall.

The business has now completed the move to the 2,500 sq m facility in Hayle. It said the original plan was to move in 2026 but 2024 saw rapid growth in the business and Rehasense said it needed to relocate sooner than planned.

By increasing the premises the company said it now has the capacity to increase stock levels and to fulfil customer orders more effectively.

“One of the issues we faced in 2024 was the longer than expected shipping times which meant it has not always been easy to get the right balance. Some days the warehouse could be 100% full and then the next day it could be empty, which would have an adverse effect on our delivery timescales to our dealers, which we have always prided ourselves on since day one. That is why we have made this significant investment earlier than planned to ensure we can offer our dealers an unrivalled level of service and delivery while at the same time future proofing our operation against potential global issues that are beyond our control,” said Lee French, regional director of Europe.

In addition to the increased warehouse space, there is also a new training and development centre.

To support the opening of the new premises, seven new members of staff have joined the Rehasense team in a range of roles which cover the office, warehouse and sales departments.

“We truly believe that this exciting move will enable us to take Rehasense UK to the next level and provide even greater support to our UK dealer network who are vital to our business,” added French.
