Storage company offers free energy to customers

Poole storage company Store & Secure is offering free energy for its clients – many of whom run retail operations from the giant facility.

Storage sisters Lucy and Sophie Maidman who run the firm understand that Ebayers and other retailers require electricity to use computers and printers.

With energy costs still much higher than they were, Store & Secure wants to give extra incentives for people to use its huge, bright yellow building.

The sisters have a history of incubating start-ups, whether that be retailers in their units or small businesses in their services offices.

Lucy said: “During lockdowns the number of people using our facilities to sell from shot up.

“People got rid of their market stalls and shops and instead kept their stock with us and were able to run their businesses from a unit.

“We happily take in stock for them if they are working their regular jobs and obviously everything is extremely secure and heated.

“Committing to provide power means we now provide everything retailers need to run their businesses from our facility.

“Often they need printers to produce address labels and invoices, and computers to keep up to the minute with orders.

“Being a family business we really do make a extra effort to go that little bit further for our clients.

“We also have several serviced offices available for people who need somewhere to move their start-up to.

“It all means that for one, regular payment people and businesses get everything they need.

“We are always happy to chat to people about their needs – just give us a ring or pop in for a coffee.”
