Property consultancy makes two promotions
Property consultancy Alder King has announced two promotions in its Bristol office.
Emma Smith, from the firm’s agency team, becomes a partner and Hugh Collins is promoted to senior surveyor in the residential development and energy team.
Smith developed her expertise over the past 11 years specialising in the industrial and logistics sector. Currently working with national and regional developer and occupier clients, she supports a range of clients including St Modwen, Rockhaven, Travis Perkins, Walters Land and Mileway.
Collins joined Alder King in 2018 and provides acquisition and disposal advice to developers and landowners across both the residential development and energy sectors.
Recent residential transactions include advising landowners on entering promotion agreements on nine acres of land at Tytherington in South Gloucestershire and over 50 acres of land at Frome in Somerset. He has also provided complex site development consultancy for larger residential and mixed-use development sites, including appraisal and viability work.
Within Alder King’s energy team, Collins has been instrumental in winning new acquisition instructions for two large-scale battery developers. He was also responsible for the acquisition of over 3,000 acres of land for new utility scale energy projects for JBM Solar (now part of RWE, the UK’s largest power producer), and the acquisition of five sites across the country for Conrad Energy for new flexible energy generation schemes.
