Contractor grows revenues by 85% in first half

Construction, utilities and civil engineering firm Hercules Site Services said its revenue grew by around 85% to more than £37m in the first half of its financial year, in line with market forecasts.

The Cirencester-based company said “substantial demand” from its UK infrastructure construction industry market underpinned the performance in the six months to 31 March 2023.

Chief executive Brusk Korkmaz said: “During the period we have delivered strong revenue growth, new clients and opened doors to exciting new sales opportunities.

“While we are not immune to inflationary pressures, with trading in line with expectations, and strong momentum being experienced in the construction and infrastructure sectors, we look forward to the next six months with confidence.

Hercules clients include Balfour Beatty and Kier and the firm supplies labour to major infrastructure projects, civil engineering schemes, utilities, groundworks, highway and railway projects.
