Historic music venue lands first ever sponsorship deal

A two hundred year old music venue has landed its first ever sponsorship deal.
St George’s Hall in Bristol was built in the 1820s and has been an independent venue for staging live performances since 1999.
Wealth management firm Investec has announced a three-year partnership with the venue.
Investec, which has an office in the city, sponsors a wide range of international art, cultural and sports initiatives.
Sam Wright, who heads up Investec’s Bristol office, said: “We are looking forward to forging a close partnership with this outstanding music venue, helping to support its aim to bring an exciting range of artists and performances to the people of Bristol and beyond.
“We are particularly excited about the entertainment opportunities it will enable us to offer to both new and prospective clients.”
Samir Savant, chief executive of St George’s Bristol, added: “This is the first partnership of its kind in St George’s history. We are grateful for this support and look forward to welcoming Sam Wright and the Investec team to our venue.”
A registered charity, St George’s presents more than 300 performances, talks, workshops and events every year, engaging with more than 100,000 people.
