Cornwall Innovation appoints business support advisor

Cornwall Innovation, which comprises three centres across Cornwall operated by University of Plymouth for Cornwall Council, has appointed Rebecca Loto as business support advisor.
Earlier this year, Cornwall Innovation pledged to provide a business support advisor for its customers to bridge the gap of EU-funded business programmes, which ended in June.
Loto has spent more than 20 years working and owning businesses in a multitude of sectors including property, marine and tourism, as well as supporting sole-traders, start-ups and high growth six figure+ businesses as a business coach and mentor.
Her role at Cornwall Innovation will be to support both new and high growth businesses, within the centres to grow and thrive.
Matt Harrington, head of Cornwall Innovation Centres, said: “We’re dedicated to encouraging innovation and business growth in Cornwall, so it’s fantastic to welcome Rebecca to Cornwall Innovation, as we continue to grow our offering to support our customers.
“We really recognise the current gap for funded business support in Cornwall, and therefore this this fully funded hire fits within our strategic vision to support the Cornish business community and her support will be complimentary and exclusive to our customers. Rebecca brings a wealth of business experience across a multitude of sectors and is dedicated to bridging the gap of advice and support.”
Loto added: “It’s so encouraging to have already seen potential for adding value to the customers of Cornwall Innovation and I’m looking forward to making a difference to business growth for a range of companies, through offering mentoring, workshops and networking opportunities.”
