Birmingham nightclub gets £1m facelift

A Birmingham nightclub is undergoing a £1m refurbishment while remaining open to customers throughout the work.

Rosies Birmingham on Broad Street is being revamped five years after the venue opened for the first time.

The rolling improvements will include new flooring in the ground floor of the two-storey club, known as the Montana bar, replacement toilets throughout, and facelifts to the venue’s numerous bars.

Deputy manager Dean Crawshaw said: “We wanted to keep the premises fresh and give it a facelift that will continue to make it attractive for our customers.

“The work to date has affected capacity, but nowhere near what we would have lost if we had shut. And it hasn’t affected the operation of the club. That was important to us.”

Mike Olley, general manager of Westside BID, said: “The £1m investment in Rosies’ refurbishment just shows how the entertainment sector on Westside has returned following Covid-19.

“Rosies is a favourite venue of thousands of party-going customers every week, and the new facilities will draw even more people in.”
