Manufacturing group unveils £15m investment across UK operations

Advanced manufacturing group Connexion Technologies has announced a £15m investment across its UK operations, including the launch of a new centre of excellence for production machining in Willenhall.
The Centre, located at the group’s Accura Engineering site in the West Midlands, is designed to boost component production for sectors such as aerospace, defence, and energy.
It features 5-axis CNC machines, robotics, and automation to enable ‘lights-out’ manufacturing—maximising efficiency and precision.
The investment forms part of Connexion Technologies’ broader strategy to scale UK capabilities in mission-critical industries.
Alongside the £5m upgrade in Willenhall, the group has invested £4.5m in expanding semiconductor packaging and cleanroom facilities at Custom Interconnect in Hampshire – now home to the UK’s largest semiconductor packaging cleanroom.
A further £2.2m has gone into advanced PCB inspection, test, and automation at Pure PCB in Wiltshire, with additional funds supporting R&D, skills development and process optimisation across all four of its specialist businesses.
Chairman and CEO Craig Wright said: “This past year has been about more than just growth — it’s been about investing in the UK’s capability to deliver for mission-critical industries. From semiconductor packaging to precision machining, our group continues to scale with purpose, focusing on resilience, quality, and enabling the next generation of innovation in aerospace, defence, EVs, and healthcare. We’re proud to be expanding here in the UK and continuing to create high-value engineering jobs across our sites.”
