HCB continues growth with Black Country acquisition

AN EXPANDING West Midlands law firm is growing again after acquiring a Walsall practice in an undisclosed deal.
HCB Solicitors has taken over Hadens Solicitors, which has four partners and 40 staff, and specialises in family and employment law alongside conveyancing, dispute resolution, commercial property and debt recovery.
A spokesman for HCB said Hadens would continue trading under its current name for the time being.
HCB Solicitors, which rebranded earlier in the summer, was formed 12 months ago from the merger of Harris Cooper Walsh and Brownings Solicitors.
It has around 100 staff and offices in Birmingham, Solihull, Stratford-upon-Avon, Redditch, Alcester and Lichfield.
HCB managing partner Mike Gahan said: “Hadens fits well into our portfolio. It is established in an area which has its own legal complexities.
“HCB is growing quickly because it has a variety of city-trained solicitors and a deputy district judge, all experts in a particular area of the law and each acquisition we make brings something new to the firm.
“The special teams, such as the commercial and family law departments, grow with each acquisition and have built up a reputation for professionalism and taking the initiative in complicated cases.”
