KPMG names its new Birmingham-based partners

ACCOUNTANCY and advisory firm KPMG has named the six new partners to its Midlands practice announced last week.

They are Simon Albrighton, Drew Bailey, Andy Bostock, John Hall, Simon Shaw and Will Wright.

Albrighton has been promoted to lead the regional forensic team, focusing on supporting Midlands companies to mitigate risk, investigate fraud, resolve disputes and comply with key legislation.

Bailey joins the firm from Deloitte, to head up the firm’s growing transfer pricing team in the Midlands while Shaw is joining the partnership to lead the local indirect tax team, transferring from KPMG’s Manchester office.

Bostock’s promotion to partner will see him lead the firm’s advisory service to public and private sector health providers while Hall will lead the firm’s team focusing on working with businesses operating within the financial services sector.

Wright is well known in the Midlands restructuring and debt advisory community and his promotion to partner reflects his success in supporting Midlands companies restructure and adapt to the changing market conditions.

KPMG’s senior partner in Birmingham Mike Steventon – who is soon to take over as regional chairman – said: “Our investment in six new partners in the Midlands reflects the importance of this region to KPMG’s international network.

“There is no doubt that while conditions remain tough these new appointments to our Midlands practice demonstrate our confidence in an improving regional economy.”
