Capula secures Severn Trent contract

IMTECH UK’s Capula business has been appointed by Midland utility Severn Trent Water to assist the company with improving its Instrumentation, Control & Automation (ICA).
Capula will undertake a six-month review to set the strategic direction for ICA and develop a consolidated view of ICA requirements across Severn Trent’s Water, Waste and Information Services. The work is required by Severn Trent under guidelines from regulator Ofwat.
Simon Coombs, Business Development Director for Capula, said: “After an initial assessment of Severn Trent’s current ICA estate and processes, we are bringing ideas and experience from across a wide range of industries to help agree a high-level direction for Severn Trent Water.
“We are now working in joint teams with its staff to rationalise and prioritise the identified initiatives into a coherent programme that achieves the right pace of change and investment in ICA.”
David Essex, Water Strategy Manager for Severn Trent, added: “Capula is already behaving as a strong partner to Severn Trent Water. It understands our business aims and is bringing good ideas and experience, which will help us to achieve our business objectives.”
