Business Masters Awards 2013 to celebrate the region’s finest

THE best entrepreneurs and businesses in the West Midlands will again be celebrated at TheBusinessDesk.com’s second annual Business Masters Awards which are launched today.
Last year’s winners included the late industrialist David Grove, whose son picked up a posthumous award on his behalf, and Birmingham manufacturers Sertec and Brandauer.
The Masters awards will recognise success in innovation, international trade, manufacturing, social responsibility and leadership, while new business success will also be celebrated in the West Midlands Newcomer award.
The lunchtime event, to be held on Thursday May 16 at the Hyatt hotel in Birmingham, is a fresh alternative to other business awards events. With just six awards, the focus is on quality, not quantity.
Confirmed sponsors for the 2013 Business Masters include law firm Higgs & Sons and accountants and business advisers Baker Tilly.
Andy Coyne, Midlands editor of TheBusinessDesk.com said: “Our Masters Awards is a great showcase of success in the region and I expect some really compelling entries again this year.
“The West Midlands remains the country’s industrial heartland and I’m expecting another really strong showing from manufacturing firms that are going great guns in domestic and foreign markets.
“And, as ever with the Masters, we aim to make the businesses the stars of the show as we feel it is so extremely important to celebrate success in challenging times.”
The Masters also offers fantastic networking opportunities.
Indeed Warwickshire’s Purity Beers – the winner of last year’s Newcomer award – struck a deal with Birmingham’s Hotel La Tour for three of its beers to be served to customers in its bar and restaurant after the pair met at the Masters awards.
