Manufacturer celebrates 25 years in business with investment plan

WOLVERHAMPTON-based manufacturer Rolevet is to mark a quarter of a century of being in business by investing £100,000 in its future.

The firm, an expert in specialised fasteners and solutions, says the investment will be implemented over the next 12 months.

Having appointed interim operations director Steve Hemming earlier this year, the company is currently undergoing a number of organisational and structural changes, including a more efficient manufacturing set-up, the introduction of new ERP and CRM software and an increase in marketing activities.

Hemming said: “The biggest challenge we are facing these days is remaining competitive.

“The number of suppliers competing in a global marketplace is growing and customers’ demands are becoming increasingly more stringent in terms of certification, traceability and quality standards in general.

“We therefore have to ensure that our equipment, service and work processes are always as good and efficient as possible.”

Originally founded in 1988 as a provider of forged blanks to two local companies, Rolevet now operates independently, manufacturing specialist industrial fasteners and bespoke solutions.

Its customers include the MOD, power stations (nuclear and fossil fuelled), pump and valve manufacturers, chemical refineries and process plants.
