HCB moves in on East Midlands

AMBITIOUS Solihull law firm HCB Solicitors has continued its acquisition programme by taking over one of Leicester’s oldest legal businesses.
For its first breakthrough in the East Midlands, the group has acquired Billson & Sharp, a firm established in 1889 which has offices in Bowling Green Street and Queens Road in Leicester.
The monetary value of the deal is undisclosed.
HCB now has ten offices throughout the Midlands and in London.
Mike Gahan, chief executive, said: “The East Midlands has always been a natural progression for the HCB brand and Billson & Sharp fits well into our community-based law network.
“We will be building on the services already offered by Billson & Sharp and introducing expansion plans involving our group expertise on all aspects of private and company law.”
HCB Solicitors entered the central Birmingham legal market a year ago via the acquisition of city centre firm Young & Lee.
