Appointments: Nehemiah UCHA; Morris Property

FOUNDER of Birmingham law firm Mayflower Solicitors Jimmy Ogunshakin has become chairman of housing association Nehemiah UCHA.
Mr Ogunshakin has been involved since 2003, when he joined the board of United Churches Housing Association before it merged with Nehemiah Housing Association in 2007. He succeeds Kwadwo Owusu Darko as the organisation’s chairman.
He said: “The challenges ahead as I see it, are about how we build on the successful growth which has been achieved to date and utilise the limited resources we have, given the landscape and the wider economy is shrinking and the direct impact on social housing providers like ourselves.”
Nehemiah UCHA now has 1,100 homes across Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Coventry, Dudley, Sandwell and Walsall.
