New year triple boost for HR consultancy

A WARWICKSHIRE HR consultancy has expanded its team and moved offices as well as winning new clients.

Independent, whose clients include Morrisons and EMI Music, has added McLaren Automotive, Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear, EDF Energy and Serco to its stable.

Four new staff have also joined the Leamington Spa business bringing the total payroll up to 20.

Laure Chiron is its new resourcer for its international arm while Charlotte Badger is supporting recruitment for Independent’s UK clients.

Ana Garcia is embedded as an in-house recruiter at global technology provider e2v and Keeley Wallace is the firm’s new office administrator.

Independent has also moved to a new office in Holly Walk, in Leamington town centre, having previously been based a short walk across town in Waterloo Place.

Independent founder Phil Clarke said: “It’s incredibly exciting to start the new year on such a positive footing.

“Acquiring new clients like McLaren Automotive and Rolls-Royce Civil Nuclear is proof positive that SMEs like ourselves, with specialist knowledge and a great degree of flexibility, have much to offer the bigger players.

“The recession has encouraged us to broaden our offering from HR consultancy into recruitment and it’s paying dividends, allowing us to grow the business and take on more staff.

“This year will see us filling over 650 vacancies for our clients.”
