Morgan Sindall secures £65m schools contract

MORGAN Sindall has won contracts to build three new schools in Hull worth £65m.

This latest win for the Rugby-based construction and infrastructure business follows on from two other deals it signed last year to build schools in Hull worth £71m.

The awarding of the contracts follows the Hull Esteem Consortium, a partnership of Morgan Sindall Investments, Robertson Capital Projects and Sewell Group, reaching financial close on the latest phase of the Hull’s Building School for the Future Programme.

Work on the three projects is due to be completed by January 2013.

Paul Smith, chief executive of parent company Morgan Sindall Group, said: “Morgan Sindall has a leading position in the education sector and a growing reputation for exceptional project delivery.

“We look forward to furthering our relationship with Hull City Council while working on these latest projects.”
