Construction firm uses latest funding deal to build for growth

Arden Construction

A Warwickshire construction firm has invested in new jobs and an expansion of its fleet after winning a new finance deal.

Arden Construction, based on Springfield Business Park, Alcester is a construction, building maintenance, and refurbishment business that services clients commercially and operationally in the heritage, healthcare, industrial and education sectors.

It is looking to generate an increase in turnover with the support of a £75,000 asset finance facility from Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking.

The firm, which this year celebrates its silver jubilee, turned to Lloyds Bank for support in expanding its fleet of vehicles.

The asset finance facility has enabled the company to purchase four Ford Transit Customs, which add to a 29-strong fleet, meaning the firm can now service existing clients more efficiently and take on new contracts.

It has created five jobs to meet increased demand, the recruitment resulting in a 10% increase in workforce. Annual turnover is also predicted to increase by 10% from £7m.

Carl Brooker, managing director at Arden Construction, said: “Investing in new vehicles and growing our workforce enables us to continue to deliver exceptional customer service to our clients, whilst giving us the capacity to take on new contracts. Lloyds Bank has fully understood our business strategy and has supported us as we take steps towards further growth.”

Ross Veale, relationship director for Lloyds Bank Commercial Banking, said: “Arden Construction is central to Warwickshire’s infrastructure, providing a pivotal service to the education and health systems. The management team has expressed huge ambition and established sustainable growth plans, and we have supported this journey through tailored funding.”
