Sports nutrition business agrees new HQ move

Grenade founders, Alan and Juliet Barratt

Nutrition and lifestyle brand Grenade has relocated its headquarters from Coventry to Solihull following a new property deal.

The company, which was the subject of a £72m acquisition earlier this year, has taken 5,000 sq ft of office space in Hampton-in-Arden.

Commercial property agency KWB secured the deal, which sees Grenade take the whole of Arden House, Marsh Lane, on a new five-year lease.

Best known for high protein, low sugar drinks, food supplements and bars, such as the Carb Killa, for sports performance and weight management, Grenade was founded in Solihull in 2010 and now sells its products to over 80 countries, including the USA where it has a major distribution centre.

Juliet Barratt, chief marketing officer and co-founder of Grenade, said: “Arden House is very well suited to see in the next phase of expansion for Grenade.”

Built in 1989, Arden House is a two-storey office building located close to the centre of Hampton-in-Arden.

Lion Capital announced in March that it had agreed to acquire a majority stake in Grenade Holdings from Grovepoint Capital and Grenade’s founders, husband and wife team, Alan and Juliet Barratt.

Lion is known for its experience in investing in leading food brands such as Weetabix, Kettle Chips and Orangina-Schweppes.
