Galliford Try has been awarded the multi-million-pound contract for the fit-out of the HSBC UK headquarters at Arena Central.

The developer has been responsible for building the landmark project, and has now won the fit-out contract, reported to be worth more than £20m.

Simon Burton, managing director of Galliford Try’s building division in the West Midlands, said: “This contract award is testament to the excellent progress that the team has made so far at Arena Central.”

Galliford Try will complete the Category B fit-out of the 10-storey building including provision of power and data systems and furnishings.

The 220,000 sq ft head office at Centenary Square is due to open in January and has the capacity it accommodate up to 2,500 people.

HSBC UK has signed a 250-year lease on the building, which is part of the Arena Central development being delivered by ACDL, a joint venture led by Miller Developments.
