AR Demolition smashes through to best ever performance

Nuneaton based demolition firm, AR Demolition, has enjoyed its best ever start to a trading year, by increasing its turnover by 54% and converting that improvement into an increase in its year-on-year gross profit of 18% against its performance in 2017.

This significant improvement in the financial performance of the company, follows a period of restructure after a disappointing set of results in 2017.

The managing director of AR Demolition, Richard Dolman said:”We did not perform as well as I’d have liked in 2017, so we have worked hard to improve all areas of the business. I am delighted with how quickly we have noticed such a dramatic improvement in financial performance.”

Dolman attributed the much improved performance of the business in the first half of this year to a number of key changes that had been made in both the management of the company, and operating practices of the business, both of which came about as a result of a new determination to develop the business as a new type of demolition contractor – committed to quality, safety and innovation, especially in terms of sustainability and recruitment.

“Earlier this year we appointed a new board, including a financial director and a commercial director, and we are currently looking for an operations director to join the team. We are introducing some new processes and procedures across all our departments, including some cutting-edge improvements in communications and reporting, as well as strong governance and controls.”

“It’s all had a dramatic impact on our bottom line. We have seen record turnover and profits for the first half of this year and in turn we have seen strong growth in our forward order book, with much of the custom being repeat business.”

In May this year, AR Demolition was named in the ‘1000 Companies to Inspire Britain’ report by the London Stock Exchange, which celebrates the UK’s fastest growing and most dynamic SMEs who have been in business for a minimum of three years and achieved a revenue of between £6m and £250m.
