Ansons takes on new commercial property solicitor

Staffordshire law firm Ansons Solicitors is gearing up for an increase in its commercial property work with the appointment of a new specialist.

Neil Faunch has joined the firm, which has offices in Cannock and Lichfield, after completing a structured two-year training contract with the firm. He gained experience across a variety of departments before specialising in commercial property law.

In addition to his other responsibilities, Mr Faunch will also be involved in advising on agricultural law matters.

Mr Faunch said: “I’ve always had an interest in law and I especially enjoyed land and property law whilst studying at university. The experience I gained during my training within Ansons Solicitors’ commercial property department made me realise that this was the area of law for me.

“I am delighted to be working for Ansons Solicitors as they are one of the largest and most progressive commercial law firms within the region”.

Senior partner Simon James said: “The commercial property market has been through a tough time recently, but the last few months have seen the market bounce back.

“We have certainly seen an increase in demand and the appointment of Neil couldn’t have come at a better time for us as we continue to strive for growth and to be the best law firm within the region.”

Mr Faunch studied for his law degree at Birmingham University and passed a Legal Practice Course at The College of Law Birmingham. He lives in Burntwood and is a keen football referee for a number of local football leagues.

Ansons said it remained committed to trainee development and had recently employed Laura Rostance in the family department following the completion of her training contract. It has also taken on trainee solicitor Gemma Eldon, who joined the practice late last year.
