Town planning firm takes space at historic building

Town planning consultancy Delta Planning is set to relocate to the grade II-listed Cornwall Buildings in Birmingham.

The company, currently located in Solihull, has taken a suite at the Bruntwood Works-owned building, following a period of growth.

Situated on Newhall Street, the four-storey building is currently undergoing a refurbishment.

The makeover, which is part of a £1m project, includes a new manned barista coffee offering in reception, a ‘host pod’ to remove the traditional reception desk barrier and new seating areas on the ground floor.

Delta Planning will be one of the first companies to arrive at the new-look Cornwall Buildings when it opens its new office in March.

Director David Green said: “We’ve had a strong period of growth recently, increasing our offering and bringing in new talent and, as such, we simply outgrew our previous office.

“We’re now about to embark on our next chapter and we’re extremely excited to be doing so in such a beautiful building that is steeped in heritage. We’re now in the ideal place to take Delta Planning to the next level – not only are we central to the city’s thriving business community, but we’re also eager to begin networking with neighbouring businesses in our building, hopefully helping our continued growth.”

Spanning four floors, The Cornwall Buildings is one of four Bruntwood Works buildings in the city, including Cornerblock in the Colmore Business District and one of Birmingham’s tallest buildings, Mclaren.

Rob Valentine, director of Bruntwood Works in Birmingham, said: “We’re thrilled to be welcoming Delta Planning to Cornwall Buildings as one of our first customers to enjoy its new look.

“It’s an incredibly diverse buildings that offers a real mix of innovative workspaces, including serviced offices and meeting rooms, and we’re looking forward to introducing businesses from across the city and beyond to all we have to offer.

“Birmingham’s business community is truly thriving at the moment, so we passionate about offering businesses a place that allows collaboration with like-minded businesses and somewhere that fuels creativity and productivity.”
