Co-op to unveil revamped store after £1.5m investment

Co-op is set to serve-up a new-look food store in Hereford following a £1.5m investment to transform its Grandstand Road store.

The 11,500 sq ft Co-op store – which includes a Peacock’s clothing concession – supports 45 local jobs, and runs on 100% renewable electricity.

Re-launching on Thursday September 10 after a 10 week programme of works, the new-look Co-op includes Costa coffee express, Amazon Lockers, free customer car parking and bakery.

From October 22 the store will offer a new click & collect service.

Gareth Jones, Co-op store manager, said: “We are delighted to have had the opportunity to make such a significant investment in Hereford, transforming the store with a great new look and offer to better serve the community.”
