Retail property consultancy appointed to Brindleyplace portfolio

Hines has appointed Birmingham-based retail property consultancy Creative Retail to promote and let the retail portfolio at Birmingham’s Brindleyplace.

Creative Retail will work alongside BWD to promote the estate’s retail offering.

Brindleyplace is a fully managed, award winning estate in the heart of Birmingham that attracts more than four million visitors a year to its 22 bars, cafés and restaurants, contemporary art gallery, Ikon, and National SEA LIFE Centre and on the doorstep of the The ICC and National Indoor Arena.

A variety of retail spaces and suites are currently available at the estate, which is also home to a number of major employers, including Deutsche Bank, Natwest, Lloyds Banking Group, Deloitte and Avison Young, between them employing more than 10,000 staff.

Ed Purcell, director, Creative Retail, said: “Brindleyplace is long-established as one of the city’s premier mixed-use destinations. It benefits from an excellent location, strong brand recognition and high footfall, which will only increase thanks to the wide range of residential developments which are currently in progress or have recently been finished as part of the wider regeneration of Broad Street and Birmingham’s Westside district.

“The estate already has a great range of nationally recognised restaurants and bars and some fantastic independent businesses as well, and we’re looking forward to welcoming new tenants to the estate who will further strengthen this offer even further.”

James Campbell Adamson, of Hines, said: “Creative Retail’s knowledge of Birmingham is a great asset for us as we continue to attract businesses to ensure we continue to provide our visitors with the very best leisure and retail offerings possible.

“Maintaining the estate’s reputation as one of the city’s foremost and favourite mixed-use places will bring yet more visitors and staff to Brindleyplace. We’re determined to attract tenants who will enhance the offering of the estate and complement the existing tenants who already make Brindleyplace such a lively and vibrant destination for the city.”
