Comms agency wins law firm contract

Bella Martin-Williams

Grayling PR, Birmingham has been appointed to work with Birmingham headquartered law firm Gowling WLG on a communications campaign.

Grayling says its work with Gowling WLG will involve “a digital-first thought leadership campaign, exploring the debate around the future of urban and semi-urban spaces in a post-pandemic and increasingly tech-enabled future”.

Becky Glover, corporate communications manager at Gowling WLG, said: “Our new campaign will explore some of the most pressing issues facing our clients across infrastructure, retail, transport, energy and beyond from future mobility to intergeneration housing; green streets to what suburban resurgence means for the Government’s Levelling Up Agenda.

“The pandemic has reset the way we all think, and this campaign is designed to help Gowling WLG’s clients make sense of what follows.”

Craig Ling, director, said: “It’s been a stellar start to 2021 for Grayling and I think reflects the fact that businesses have realised that they need to pivot their communications approach to reflect the challenges of the global pandemic.

“That means we’re seeing greater appetite for campaigns which major on digital platforms; greater investment in creative assets which single out their content from their competitors; the development of comprehensive internal communications campaigns; and of course, reputation management and crisis communications as organisations still grapple with the far-reaching consequences of COVID-19.”

Meanwhile, Grayling has added to the team by bringing on board Bella Martin-Williams as a permanent account executive hire, following a stint working with the team on a temporary basis before Christmas.

Her role will see her support the wider team to deliver PR, social media and SEO activity for clients including Gowling, M&S, HSBC, ITG, Intercity Technology and Coventry University Group.
