Tech services provider becomes first tenant at refurbished industrial estate

A major refurbishment of a Black Country industrial estate has resulted in its first letting.

Technology services provider Probrand has become the first tenant at the rebranded estate, Smethwick Works.

The firm has moved into a 5,790 unit after signing a lease through property consultancy Fisher German.

Probrand delivers IT products, managed services and solutions to more than 3,500 clients across small to medium-sized businesses in all areas of the public sector.

Smethwick Works is a 61,220 sq ft scheme made up of eight units ranging from 5,500 sq ft to 13,600 sq ft which have been completely refurbished, re-roofed and redecorated throughout and benefit from new LED lighting.

Mike Price, of Fisher German, said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Probrand to Smethwick Works.

“It is a fantastic industrial estate which has been refurbished to a very high specification and is in an excellent location, based just half a mile from junction 1 of the M5.

“It features a total of eight units, but there is an option to combine some of these to provide larger units of up to 19,000 sq. ft. We have already received a good level of interest, with two other units already under offer.”

Joint agents for Smethwick Works are Fisher German, Darby Keye and Bulleys.
